Jennifer Lahmers joined the Fox 61 News Team in July 2007.

Prior to Fox 61 WTIC-TV, Jennifer worked as an anchor/reporter/producer/assignment editor in Jackson, Tennessee, noted for its Casey Jones Railroad Museum and appreciation for Rock-a-Billy music.

There, she covered everything from the Mary Winkler murder trial to a drag racing accident that took the lives of six people in Selmer.

Jennifer spent time at CNN's Special Projects Unit in Atlanta in 2005, where she worked closely with producers on the department's 25th anniversary specials.

Her stint as a newspaper reporter in New Philadelphia, Ohio earned her a Society of Professional Journalists Regional Mark of Excellence Award.

She began her broadcasting career at WOUB in Athens, Ohio, as weekend morning radio anchor. She calls that period in her life, "paying her dues."

Jennifer is excited to work side by side with the people of Connecticut, and experience the Northeast. When she's not reporting, she can be found decorating her apartment, eating chocolate, or reading a good book.
